Recitals

Students who are prepared can participate in two recitals each year: one in winter and one in the spring. These are held in a non-threatening space in the choir room of Davidson College Presbyterian Church, where there is a Yamaha grand, and just enough room for families and a few extra chairs. Competition is not part of this nurturing, supportive environment. Students who perform have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of their music. They've also attended the preparatory “dress rehearsal" and become acclimated to playing that composition on that piano in that space. Parents are welcome, even encouraged, to attend rehearsals.

At recitals, everyone present enjoys hearing how all the students grow and develop as musicians over time.
